We invite you to come and discover the beautiful Dordogne. Its magnificent nature, beautiful rivers, valley of 1001 castles, culture, rich history and much more make it the ideal place for an unforgettable holiday.
Just outside the picturesque village of Paunat, on the edge of the forest, we let our two dog-friendly gîtes, “Gîte Fem” and “Gîte Pèr”.
The gîtes, which have a large swimming pool, are set in an oasis of tranquillity. You enter directly into the forest and can enjoy the beautiful nature. The serounding also offer plenty of opportunities for fun excursions. Enjoy the many weekly markets, garage sales and flea markets, sit out on one of the many terraces or in one of the many restaurants. Wander around the beautiful châteaux, visit the caves or take a refreshing canoe trip on the Vézère or Dordogne rivers. And in summer, there’s always a lively ‘Marché Gourmand’ in one of the villages, so there’s plenty to do!
The Dordogne is also known for its Bastides, visit Beaumont du Périgord, Issigeac or Monpazier, among others. And discover more about prehistory with a visit to Les Eyzies or one of the many caves!
Upon returning home to your gite, you can round off the day and join us for a Table d’Hote. Enjoy good food and great stories together!

We are also open at Christmas and New Year’s Eve! This is especially because many dogs are afraid of fireworks, and you won’t hear any here on New Year’s Eve, and also so that you can come and enjoy the cosy Christmas atmosphere, Christmas markets, chateaus in enchanting Christmas magic or join us for our special Table d’Hote!
Would you like to come for a few days in the early and/or late season? From various English Airports you can fly directly to Bergerac Airport. There is a wide choice of rental cars and with a 45-minute drive you are with us!
Happy holidays in a beautiful cottage with dream pool. Femke and Perry do everything to make the holiday a success. Even dog sitting if you want to do something he can’t join you. We had a great time at the Pèr gîte. It is nicely decorated and with plenty of space for 2 adults. The location is perfect as there are several villages and places worth a visit around. Femke was really sweet and a great host. I recommend a 100%. Charles et Adèle
FANTASTIC, With no other word we can describe our holiday at gîte Fem. Although the weather was not our best friend, we were able to enjoy it to the full. Thanks to the beautiful accommodation we found ourselves in an oasis of calm in an environment that could offer us all the necessary activities (many markets, cosy villages, many nice trips). Everything is there to enjoy a carefree, Burgundian, relaxing and happy holiday in the company of your beloved four-legged friend, who is super welcome with Femke and Perry.
